Button's Gap

Button’s Gap is on Ivanhoe Station country where the artist was born. In the old days when she was a child all the elders from the surrounding cattle stations would meet every wet season at Carlton Hill holiday camp. "This painting is about me. I was five years old at that time. We went through Button’s Gap to Carlton for holidays. Foot-walking with my grandmother and father. No motorcar that time, no money in those days."
