Mulgnin & Wadjid

“Mulgnin & Wadjid are the names of spinifex and palm trees that grow in my country.”

At the centre of the image is Byanimby Hill, it has little run-off creeks radiating outwards. These creeks only flow during the wet season. Across the open plain grows the spinifex. Around the base of the hill grows bush palms, represented in the painting by a single iconic palm tree.
