"We used to camp here on our way to Carlton station. We had flour, sugar and tea and used to eat bush foods too like bush potato, sugarbag, magpie goose eggs, perch and brim. During the floodwater – wet season – we would camp up on the hillsides to keep dry from the rains and the rising floodwaters of the Ord River." This painting depicts Middle Springs.
