Jinamoom & Wirridlboom

Typical of the artist's emphasis on movement, Peggy describes rivers in flood and the wind in the spinifex. The movement for the artist is evidence of the presence of the Dreamtime Spirit alive in Country. Flowing through the centre of the painting is the Keep River at a place called Jinamoom. Here the river is joined by smaller tributaries. On the right there are billabongs called Wirridlboom. The small hill shapes represent ant-pit country; ant pit is good bush medicine.
