Jarnem Hill

"This is Jarnem, my home, that big hill and that water."

This image depicts the artist's community, Jarnem. Directly behind the community is a large hill named Jarnem. Below this hill is a billabong called Nyawa Nyawam. Feeding the billabong is a freshwater spring called Jernamoom. The artist regularly depicts this country documenting its changes throughout the seasons. During the dry season Nyawa Nyawam is a series of small soaks while during the wet season Nyawa Nyawam overflows into a large billabong area.
