"I was born in La Grange Mission in the old hospital. I lived here and grew up here, and went to school here until I left, then I went schooling to Broome Nulungu College. I done 3 years there and went to Perth schooling in Kewdale Senior High for first term. Then came back here and I attended high schooling then. When I finished I worked beside my sister Jessica Bangu in the office and from there a little while I worked at La Grange shop, then I helped Dianne McCullem as linguist at the school writing down languages and translating them. And we travelled around the Kimberley and Northern Territory visiting other language centres, and after that I took some old ladies to Pundulmara training centre. And I settle down with my kids.”
