Daisy Bitting was born in 1940 at Legune Station. Growing up, she followed the old people in the country, learning from them. They walked everywhere, from station to station, often to visit family and friends. Later, Daisy worked as a cook at Legune Station but when her father passed away she went to live at Port Keats and worked at the meatworks. Daisy has two sons and one daughter. She started painting at Waringarri Arts in 1993. Her paintings are of her country from Bullo River and across to Jamunjung country in the Northern Territory.
Daisy Bitting passed away on 1 November 2008. She is sadly missed by her community.
