Moonoomoorrem - Newry Station

This is one of Peter's 'history stories'. In this image the artist depicts the place he calls home – Moonoomoorrem (Keep River) on Newry Station. The rectangular block of colour at the top centre of the work is the Mann River; the two lines on either side are streams running into the Mann River. The circles on the left represent Goanna Fat Dreaming. In the Dreamtime, the goanna stored his fat at this place. You can see it as a pile of rocks.
