This painting shows the features and changes to Sturt Creek, near Billiluna, for which Boxer is a senior custodian and lawman. The two 'halves' show the Sturt Creek channel late in the dry season, when it shrinks and the earth around it becomes hard and dry. The central portion of the painting is Sturt Creek once the rains have come. During the flood times, the water becomes milky from the clay soils, and this milkwater stage is shown here.
