Bora (Bush Tomatoes Also Known as Pintale)
"This is a painting of Bora, sometimes called Pintale. It has two names. Bush tomatoes. You get them raw then peel them and scoop out the seeds. The black seeds are bitter. You can then eat them, or sometimes we cook them - put them on a stick, satay-style, then put them in the fire until soft and ready to eat. This is important mangari [bush food] and it is found near Jupiter Well in Nyinmi – my Grandfather and Father's country. My Father [Brandy Tjungarayi] taught me how to find them and eat them."
