This painting depicts some of the country of Kathleen's grandparents, to the south of Yagga Yagga. This country is located in The Great Sandy Desert and is known as Nakarra Nakarra. In the middle of the painting is a waterhole at Nakarra Nakarra, around which are placed two wintiki, or windbreaks. Surrounding this are groups of women who have come here to collect bush food and to conduct ceremony. The majority of the painting, like the landscape it depicts, is dominated by talis, or sand dunes.
