Kulparri

Brandy has painted some of his traditional country, which is far to the south of Balgo in the Gibson Desert. This painting depicts the story of women collecting bush seeds called kulparri. These small black seeds are eventually ground up to make damper. The squares in the painting represent the finished damper after it has been cut up.
