“In station days this area was part of Newry Station and the cattle roamed all over this country. We would muster the cattle and give them water at the gorge.”

Peter represents the gorge at Keep River National Park, a place called Jinamoom. Depicted in the series of lines is the Keep River, with lines of rocky ridges either side. Peter remembers walking through here when he was a child, listening and learning about the history of the place as he travelled with his family to his father's country.
